1834-1835 Map of Bedford County showing the location of 25 Civil Districts and its assigned number. Each district had
a tax list of those in each district. In District No. 8 (north of Shelbyville) lived John Claxton Sen. 59 acres, James Claxton
266 acres, David Claxton, Jonathan H. Claxton 60 acres, and Wesley Claxton.
